In a groundbreaking federal lawsuit filed on August 15, 2025, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, two physicians—Dr. Paul Thomas and Dr. James Kenneth Stoller—along with the advocacy group Stand for Health Freedom, have taken direct aim at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The suit challenges the agency’s recommended childhood immunization schedule, which calls for over 72 doses of vaccines from birth to age 18, labeling it “the most aggressive vaccination program in the world.” At its core, the plaintiffs argue that the CDC has never conducted rigorous studies on the cumulative safety of administering these vaccines in combination, violating federal administrative procedures, constitutional rights to due process and informed consent, and basic scientific standards. This isn’t just a legal skirmish; it’s a clarion call for transparency in an era where children’s health hangs in the balance.

What makes this lawsuit particularly encouraging is the context of federal inaction. Under the Trump administration’s Department of Health and Human Services, led by Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., there’s been no move toward criminal prosecution of vaccine makers or forced regulatory overhauls by the CDC—steps that could theoretically address systemic failures but risk overreach or political backlash.
